Rare Meiji period Satsuma temple jar — raised moriage, gilt panel scenes of noble men, birds, and landscape. Antique Meiji Satsuma lidded urn attributed to Akira Kokorozashi (Meiji period, 1861–1912). This finely executed temple jar features multiple hand‑painted narrative panels with noble men, elders, birds and flowering branches set against stylized landscapes and architectural details. Raised moriage enamel work and generous gold gilt accent the panels, borders and the domed lid topped with a gilt finial. The rich palette, meticulous brushwork and textured relief are hallmarks collectors seek in authentic Meiji Satsuma ware. Expected age crazing and base wear. Very small chip on top where base sits. Overall a flawless piece. Excellent display piece for collectors of Japanese Meiji ceramics or fine decorative porcelain.
