This antique pewter stamp pot features a pewter lid topped with a hand-painted porcelain disc of pink and yellow roses with blue flowers. This stamp pot is a match to the Limoges inkwell and Limoges letter knife, sold separately in this closet, and the bottom of the pot is marked "Pewter Etain Zinn Made in France". Most likely, if the porcelain disc was removed from the pewter lid, the Limoges mark would be visible, but I don't suggest trying to do this. This piece measures 1-1/2 inches tall with a circumference of 7-1/2 inches and dates to the early-to-mid 19th century. The pewter portion of the pot itself does have visible wear and tear in the form of some scratches, but is still a beautiful piece.
