Antique Kyo-Yaki Japanese Pottery Vase Cocoa Brown with Hand Painted Butterflies

This stunning Japanese Kyo-Yaki pottery vase features an inverted baluster form resting on a splayed foot and rising to a cylindrical neck with everted mouth. It is painted in overglazed enamels with fanciful butterflies on a chocolate brown ground. It bears a decorator's mark on the base.
