The panels alternate between a floral motif and a depiction of a bird and flowering tree. Characterized by its use of underglaze cobalt blue, overglaze enamel colors, with red and gold as the most prominent. Makers Mark: The 3 Japanese characters Translate to (Arita-Yaki) is a form of Japanese porcelain. The porcelain is known for its pristine white surface and is made from a unique pottery stone called Amakusa pottery. Seal Mark: The image shows a square seal mark with what appears to be four characters in a style known as seal script (zhuanshu).
