Handles weren’t commonly added to tea cups until 1810. J. Meir & Son pottery was in operation from 1837-1897 in Tunstall, Staffordshire, England. The plate measures between 8 3/4" and 9" in diameter depending on where you measure, due to the twelve sided shape. The blue on the plate appears almost matte in some places, looking like the glaze pooled. There is overall very fine crazing, most visible on the back of the plate, as well as a few tiny bumps and small glaze pops.
