The design features: • Six elegantly scrolled arms with foliate and rope-twist details, each terminating in its original candle cup. • Griffin-head and acanthus motifs, symbolizing power and vigilance. • A solid black marble urn-form shaft, flanked by bronze handles and mounted on a square plinth. • A richly ornamented gilt bronze base with lion paw feet and a trophy of arms motif (shield, crossed flags, and classical emblems of victory). • Sectional construction, with the arms and hub designed to screw apart, typical of fine Italian foundry work of the period
