Antique Gold Moriage Japanese Bone China Teacup And Saucer

Gold Moriage flowers are hand painted onto this antique, very thin, fine bone china teacup and saucer from Japan. This was produced around 1921, when the US required Japan to use their “American” name rather than Nippon.The raised lines and beads are created by building layers of paint. The bone china is so thin, and you can see the gold painted design on the inside of the cup and saucer. There is some wear, including gold wearing off the rim, as well as some imperfections as pictured.
