Antique German Hand Painted Silk Easter Egg Robbin Bird in Tree Moon at Night

A RARE FIND! Gorgeous, early twentieth century large two-part silk / satin covered papier-mache / cardboard candy container with a colorful hand painted robin bird night scene on the front. The interior is unmarked but most likely German made for the American market, circa 1900-1910. The skillfully painted robin bird sitting in a blossom tree at night is artist signed in the bottom left " M.R."
