Antique sterling silver pie server by William Abdy of London, England, circa 1785. No monogram or engraving. From the Georgian Era, this beautiful pie (or fish) server features bright-cut etched designs, including a large rose, on an ornate cut-out blade and on the handle. Measures approx 12" long, 3 1/4" wide across the widest part of the blade. Weighs approx 136.8g, 88.0dwt Marked on the blade WA (William Abdy hallmark), k (date mark for 1785), lion (indicates sterling silver purity), leopard (London city mark). Also marked with a lion and a duty mark on one side of the handle and WA on the other side of the handle. Very nice condition with minor surface scratching and light tarnish.
