Antique GDA Limoges Hair Receiver – Pale Mint Green with Pink Roses & Gold Trim (3.5” x 3.5”)
Elegant antique porcelain hair receiver made by GDA Limoges, France. Hair receivers were decorative vanity boxes popular from the Victorian era into the early 20th century, designed with a central hole in the lid to collect loose hair from brushes, later used to create hair “rats” for adding volume to hairstyles.
This piece is crafted by Gerard, Dufraisseix & Abbot (GDA), a Limoges porcelain company active in the early 1900s that succeeded Charles Field Haviland. The receiver is hand-painted in a soft pale mint green with pink rose florals, green leaves, and gold trim.
Measurements: 3.5” diameter x 3.5” high
Condition: Excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks and only light wear to gold trim as shown in photos.
A beautiful example of French Limoges porcelain and Victorian vanity art, perfect for collectors or as a decorative accent.
