Antique Edwardian White Cotton Eyelet Trim – Fan & Scroll Embroidery, 2.5 Yards x 2.25”, Early 1900s Heirloom Sewing Lace
Beautiful antique white cotton eyelet trim with a graceful fan and scroll embroidery motif along a scalloped edge. Crafted on fine, semi-sheer batiste cotton, this trim displays the refined whitework embroidery typical of the Edwardian to early 1920s period, when such detailing adorned petticoats, chemises, blouses, and baby garments.
Measures approximately 2.25 inches wide and 2.5 yards long in a continuous piece. The embroidery includes a combination of satin stitching, cutwork, and drawn thread detailing, all executed with high precision and delicate threadwork.
An excellent example of early machine embroidery on cotton lawn—soft, lightweight, and beautifully preserved. Perfect for heirloom sewing, costume restoration, bridal design, or vintage linen reconstruction.
Estimated Date
Circa 1910–1925
This trim’s design—a repeating scalloped edge with alternating fan-like openwork and embroidered ovals—is highly characteristic of Edwardian lingerie trims and early Art Deco textile motifs.
Condition
Excellent antique condition: bright white color, strong fabric, and even stitching. A few light creases from storage; no visible discoloration or damage.
