Antique Continental Articulated Fish Fine Silver Vinaigrette Late 18-19 Century Faceted garnet gemstone eyes and engraved fins and scales This is a rare find late 1800's early 19th century articulated fish made of fine silver garnets are still in each eye latch opens and closes perfectly, original sponge insert still contains original silver sewing scissors, and I think a modern sewing eye.This is beautiful in amazing shape. A very hard item to find and in pristine condition  This has been in my family a long time, I remember playing with it, along with sequins & rhinestones in my great grandmothers sewing supplies,  she at one time created elaborate flapper dresses. I was informed this is actually an ‘etui’ or a ‘necessaire’ and they suggested it should have had more instruments, I however don’t have any other pieces, there is only 2 slots (2 instruments), I have only found limited information on this item, I do appreciate the shared information. More information was given, the suggested missing items were a bodkin and a folding knife, as found in a similar item c1850 Dutch provinces, I will be on the lookout for these items as I continue to go through my grandmother’s items, if I come across them, after purchase “ I will mail them, separately no extra fee” I believe the craftsmanship of antique items should be preserved and if possible kept as a whole” I just want to provide as much information as I can
