Antique Civil War Era Tin Type Wood & Glass

Antique ambrotype like daguerreotype or tin type photo frame in ornate tooled leather covered box type wooden frame. Beautifully made ornate tin type frame with glass in one side and ornate velvet cushion on other side. Measures approximately 3 x 2 1/2" x 1/4" Amazing piece of craftsmanship history. Oh the stories this frame could tell There is wear on this antique frame, please see pics. This was carried in the Civil War era times and sides have been worn, a latch and or hook may be missing, tin type ornate frame has been folded on one side, probably to prop a photo up a certain way.
