Antique Chinese Pewter Tea Caddy - Beautiful Rare Collectible

A beautiful and unique vintage Chinese pewter tea caddy or ginger jar. The piece has an octagonal shape with raised rectangular panels on each side. The dark, aged patina gives it a wonderful rustic character Two-part lid. The inner lid fits snugly inside the jar, and the outer lid sits on top, featuring a tiered design with a small decorative finial. The lid is topped with a finely detailed Foo Dog (or mythical lion) finial. Beautiful Antique condition with a rich, dark patina and some wear consistent with age. One handle was broken due to moving, (view in photo) There are some signs of use and imperfections, which add to its charm and history. The bottom shows a faded maker's mark or stamp. From conducting some researches online we believe this caddy can be dated back to the 18th century (not guaranteed) Standing approximately 10.5” tall This elegant and well-preserved tea caddy would make a fantastic addition to any collection of Asian antiques, pewterware, or decorative jars.
