Antique China Doll Vintage 17" Doll Collectible Display Doll #5 Mold 1890s

A charming 17" antique lowbrow doll - #5 mold- with china hands and feet- hand painted with charming Victorian boot style button details. Classic design features black low brow curly hair, rosy cheeks, dark blue eyes, light complexion, and delicate features. Believed to date to 1890s era Dressed in original clothes, a soft faded peachy orange-colored silk (?) dress, trim, and bloomers -with front button details and metal snaps down back. Dress appears cut below waist, revealing her petticoat - and is threadbare at shoulder as pictured. Thread attaching head to fabric body on one side is missing. Legs feature "garter" style indents and painted Victorian style shoe detail. One small knob on head plus minor wear on finish Tan fabric body shows some discoloration- clothing not fully removed due to delicate nature of the antique fabric.
