Antique Art Nouveau Cherub Candle Holders Gilt Bronze with Hand Blown Ruffled Glass Green Rim This small pair of cherubs is ornate and elegant. The opalescent striped glass shades with green rim might not have been original but are from the same period. The blacklight photo shows that the shades glow with a 365 blacklight. (Not sure about a "regular blacklight.) It's "gilding" looks more like a copper finish over bronze, which you can see well in some of the photos. My guess is that these are Italian in origin. An awesome find for a Victorian, Art Nouveau, or Maximalist decorator or collector, Measurements:  2.5" W x 2.5" D x 7.5" T Condition:  Excellent antique condition. Note that that glass shades are held in place with museum wax, which is a putty like product that is visible in the photos. Ideally, it would be removed and redone so it isn't as visible. In it's current state, the glass can be adjusted very carefully if it doesn't appear straight. No noticed chips, cracks, scuffs, blemishes or damage. Normal wear for age. Please see all photos.
