Very attractive. Intense colors.
Excellent condition. Some toning. Light soiling. Age appropriate.
Illustrator is Frederick Polydore Nodder (1770– 1800).
FP Nodder was a British natural history artist who illustrated both plants and animals. His images are highly refined, and executed with the most creepiest adherence to nature. His plates are printed on the best paper.
The paper is 6 x 9”, but the edge of the plate (the image) is 7.25” x 4.25”. I have posted a photo with the image area.
