From my collection. In 1895 Swarovski moved his company from Bohemia (now the Czech Republic) to Austria making rhinestones popular. In the 20's Chanel made costume jewelry more popular - especially Austrian. However, during WWII most allied and other countries banned Austrian jewelry for export. This pin is genuine antique and exhibits simple rhinestones unlike the more colorful ones after the war.

@cricket102515 I am an artist and studied fine art so I have a lot of friends who make jewelry that sometimes want me to help sell theirs and given that going to art school means studying art history I have a pretty good eye at antique shops and flea markets. :)
