I have had this appraised - this is from the appraisal: An antique Art Nouveau style parcel gilt and hand-painted porcelain plate made by Jean Pouyat Limoges, hand-painted by an unidentified maker named REMY circa 1910-20s7 inches diameter.
Jean Pouyat was a prominent figure in the 19th-century French porcelain industry, particularly known for his role in Limoges porcelain production. Around 1842, he established a porcelain factory in Limoges under his name: J.P. Pouyat, with the mark seen on your plate: J.P./L. FRANCE. This factory produced high-quality blanks to be decorated elsewhere. There is no clear evidence a painter named Rémy formally worked for the factory, suggesting that Remy was outside of Limoges, painting one of Pouyat's blanks. While known makers and decorators can command a premium over unknown makers, this skill of the decoration of this plate speaks for itself.
