Antique Art Nouveau Demitasse Chocolate Pot/Espresso Set Three Crown China Germany 7pc Experience the elegance of the Art Nouveau era with this exquisite Three Crown Germany demitasse set, perfect for serving hot chocolate or espresso.  A little bit of history...A demitasse set is sometimes called a "chocolate set" because historically, small, specialized cups similar in size to demitasse cups were used specifically for serving rich hot chocolate, particularly in European cultures where chocolate was considered a luxury beverage, often served in ornate, dedicated chocolate pots(“chocolatières") Demitasse means "half-cup" in French.  This set was crafted from 1909-1916,and is comprised of 6 demitasse cups and a matching pot with lid all made from high-quality porcelain. Adorned with a beautiful floral pattern with the front and back featuring different themes. Gorgeous early 20th century chocolate pot/ espresso pot and six mug/cup set. Hand painted with gold trim and beautiful flowers with purple grapes. The set dates to the period 1909-1916. Imported from Germany. The Three Crown mark was introduced by Unger & Schilde of Germany for items imported and distributed by John H Roth & Co in the United States.  Stamped Three Crown China Germany logo on the bottom of the cups. ***does not come with saucers*** Set is antique and is in marvelous condition but has its flaws as all antiques do. ***Please see all photos*** Smoke free environment.
