This listing is for a pressed glass Antique Amethyst Purple Compote Pedestal Serving Dish, in good condition. It has one small chip on the rim, which is noted in photos. This item has been irradiated to produce the deep purple color. The presence of manganese in the glass allows this color change, and was used in glassware circa 1915. It has a few visible air bubbles, which are consistent with its age and production era. It is not dishwasher safe; hand wash only.
