1913 Elgin National Watch Co. heavy silver pocket watch with a gold-filled crown. It is lever set (railroad grade feature) and has large, bold Roman numerals on a contrasting white porcelain face. With large, bold hands (railroad grade feature) and 19 jewels (railroad grade feature). The jewel material is ruby and sapphire. The size is 18s. It has a Philidelphia Watch Company case produced in 1879. The dial reads Elgin, the serial number is on the photos. The case is marked "Philidelphia Watch Co.", "Silverode" (trade name for the silver used in the case - it does not tarnish and is water resistant), and "613931". There is no personalized inscription on the case, allowing you to add your own inscription and initials. The movement is running at time of evaluation without detailed testing; future state not guaranteed. The cosmetic condition overall is very good, with only one small dimple on the back of the case. The bow is tight, the crown shows no wear, and the glass crystal is in excellent condition. Weight is approximarelly five ounces (gross weight of assembled watch), diameter of dial is approximately 1- 3/4", diameter of case frame is approximately 2-1/4", and the watch case height, inclusive of the bow, is approximately 3-1/4".
