For your consideration is this antique postcard produced by Julius Bean Company of New York and copyrighted in 1909. The front of the postcard bears a beautiful embossed purple vinca flower vine. The flowers and vine are all outlined in metallic gold that just glistens in the light. The postcard reads "Many happy returns of the day" and is numbered 8905. The backside bears the maker's mark (interwtined "JB" inside of keystone", 1¢ stamp, and is postmarked in Brookhaven, Mississippi, May 9, 1911. The postcard is addressed to Miss Lucy Warren of Brookhaven, Mississippi from Katie Case. Also noted on the backside is this card is part of "Birthday" series, number 890. It is of standard size (5.5" x 3.5") and is in good overall condition with some edge wear, a few small creases and discoloration.
Note: I treat all my postcards with archival safe solvents to clean and neutralize any foxing that might be present. A chemical smell may be observed upon receipt, but it will soon dissipate.
