Antique Rare Littell's Sulphur Compound Poultry Wood Box. Has dovetailed joints. Made by The Rhuma Sulphur Company St. Louis, Missouri, USA. Made in the 1900s to 1920s. Great decor for a country kitchen or farmhouse or a garden shed. Has a faded red devil image on the sides. See photo 10 - reference to The Rhuma Sulphur Company, found in 'Gould's Red Book of the City of St. Louis 1911'; Page 878; No. 404 (source: Missouri Digital Heritage). Based on research, I have not found another box like this made by this company. Size, also in photos: 15" long x 11.5" wide x 8" deep. Weighs 4 lbs. 8 oz. In good condition for its vintage age, despite its flaws noted below. NOTE: Some expected wear on the wood and fading on the printed letters.
