This old book has such a great look. Heavily deckled edges with the top being gilt (has dulled over the years) she’s quite chunky at 652 numbered pages. 46 colored tipped in plates by Scottish Artists including frontispiece.
The front board is bit loose and there is wear to the back board with what may be heavy sun fading. The tipped in plates are all there but over the years the glue has lost its effectiveness and they all have movement but are where they are supposed to be.
It has a wonderful honest antique look. The inside front board has a former owners initials in large black letters.
The book was printed by Turnbull & Spears Edinburgh Scotland published by T N Foulis 1912.
