Anthony Shaw Java Aesthetic Brown Porcelain Plate Vintage 1880s Antique

This is a lovely c. 1875 Aesthetic Movement dinner plate in the "JAVA" pattern by A. Shaw with a brown transfer ware design of Japonesque (Japanese) motifs: birds, fans, flora and fauna and a detail image of a Japanese hunter. Maker is Davenport. Measures 10” across. Very good condition overall consistent with age; light fine crazing, a few light surface scratches, light staining, and the usual minor manufacturing flaws. Brown on creamy ivory.
