This gentleman's jewelry set is the perfect way to bring a touch of 60s vintage contemporary. Confetti Lucite was first created in 1937 by DuPont but gained momentum starting in the 50s. Confetti Lucite was a direct result of the Great Depression and WWII. It was developed to be used for plane windshields and submarine periscopes. After the war it was no longer needed and began to be utilized in fashion. Prior to this jewelry was primarily made of precious materials. Suddenly there was an affordable but still beautiful option. Confetti lucite gives the look of art glass but without the fragility. The 60s and 70s were the peak of confetti lucite in my mind. And there are lots of collectors of confetti lucite because it is BEAUTIFUL. Just look at this stunning set!
