Condition: P Note: Used, Coverless - missing cover "The Fur Coats" is a humorous one-page comic strip featuring Angel and her friend Tubby. The story starts with Angel's mother wearing a new fur coat. Angel's father remarks that she looks "awful fancy." Angel then exclaims that she wants a fur coat too. Her mother, overhearing, says she couldn't bear to think of taking the fur off "those little animals." Later, Angel and Tubby are in the woods. Tubby spots a "fur coat" on the ground, which turns out to be a trap. Angel then sees a little squirrel and excitedly suggests they catch it to make her a fur coat. Tubby is horrified by the idea. The final panel shows Angel and Tubby running away, chased by various angry woodland creatures. Tubby shouts, "Now we're the ones gettin' skinned!" implying that their attempt to get a fur coat from the animals has backfired hilariously.
