These are the original versions, released in 2009, and are highly sought after by collectors. ​The set includes the solid white kitten and the brown & white kitten, both in a classic, cuddled pose. Each kitten features embroidered eyes, a sign of the earlier release. In 2019, the embroidered eyes were replaced with black and hazel bead safety eyes, and the kitten was made with long-pile plush fur and attached whiskers. ​These plush toys are an iconic must-have for any American Girl fan.
