American Airlines Hindenburg Metal Sign -Rare- Ande Rooney Classic Vintage

Item is Vintage and is EUC Excellent Used Condition American Airlines Airship Hindenburg 12.75" Porcelain Metal Gas Oil Sign Approximately Measures: 12.5" by 8" Metal Plaque -- -- Manufactured in 1995 (Made in USA, Ande Rooney, Highland, N.Y.) This is a Reproduction of a period metal plaque which portrays the Airship Hindenburg and an American Airlines DC-3. Prior to WWII, American Airlines and the AA Hindenberg were a connecting travel service, which enabled passengers to travel on to Europe. This image was used as a baggage label for passengers riding the short-lived service. Ande Rooney porcelain advertising signs bring to life images of America from the turn of the century. These "made-in-the-USA" reproductions are handmade using a process popularized in the early 1900's. These are authentic hand-crafted reproductions, and there are slight variations in the colors and textures. Warning: The material used as color decoration on the exterior contains lead and/or cadmium, chemicals known in the state of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm.
