Amazing, handmade vintage dress 💕

This one is difficult to let go, but I’ve only worn it once as an adult (to a fancy tea party). It’s in fantastic condition for its age, but do check the photos for signs of wear. There is overall fading (but maybe this is only noticeable to me, since I’ve owned it since 1992) and some of the seams will need reinforcement eventually. There is a small pinhole in the amazing Peter Pan collar. The bodice buttons are decorative; sleeve buttons are functional. Excellent metal zipper in the back. The collar is a periwinkle blue-lavender, and the background of the main fabric is a beige gray. It’s a heavy, textured satin with a pink and blue rose print. So great! The cut is extremely flattering, very 1940’s, and the skirt is very generously full-cut. It’s very modest and perfect as a costume or an eccentric gown. Waist 13”, bust 18”, shoulder approximately 14”, sleeve 24”, length approximately 57”. Looks smashing with silver kitten heels. No stretch.
