For your consideration is a vintage Amita (Shakudo) Japanese Damascene necklace. It features a ‘Y’ design necklace with scalloped diamond shaped pieces. Each piece has a Japanese design of Mount Fuji, pagodas, and flowers. The art of Shakudo Damascene is an alloy of copper and gold that is treated with a chemical process to create a distinctive black patina. The technique, often combined with gold and silver inlays to create intricate designs. This necklace has inlays of 24K gold and Silver. It’s absolutely gorgeous. Another wonderful estate treasure.
