cspitzner @anestrada03 hi! there is no slit, and the zipper does work. I found one spot where the beading is a bit messed up (see new photos). I took more just in case there was a spot I missed. also, there are two sports for a strap on the front of the dress (also pictures) if you don't want to wear it strapless. let me know if you have any more questions!
