First full issue with interior artwork by Jim Lee at Marvel Comics Lee provided an illustration for The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe: Book of the Dead Deluxe Edition (August 1987) Prior to aforementioned issues, Jim Lee inked 'Solson Christmas Special Featuring Samurai Santa #1' (December 1986) "Friends in High Places!" A new chapter begins for Alpha Flight, as the roster has been changed. They hold an exercise practice, along with the two members of Beta Flight, to gauge their abilities to function as a team, and they are able to deliver admirably.
