Handwoven wool poncho by Alice Kagawa Parrott (1929–2009), renowned Japanese American fiber artist and weaver. Label: parrott fabrics inc., handwoven in Santa Fe. Parrott studied under Trude Guermonprez and became a leading figure in the American studio craft movement, blending Japanese aesthetics with Southwestern traditions. Her textiles are in major museum collections including the Smithsonian and Museum of International Folk Art.
