It was torn apart, and it has been sewed together for aesthetic purposes only and will more-than-likely not be functional in the long term. These are VERY HARD to pull on and probably the reason the pull was broken. There is no size tag, but I believe they are a size 8. My daughter, who is a 7.5, tried them on and they are about 1/2 size too large for her.
