The front zipper is minimal and easy to open and close. The shorts portion is made with Ale’s Lycra, a thin, lightweight compressive material that fits close and dries quickly. Legs are kept comfortably in place with a wide leg gripper that has micro dots of silicone woven into the elastic. The fabric throughout the skinsuit is made with mesh, a breathable fabric that keeps the woman triathlete cool and dry. Even the back pocket panels are lightweight and breathable. One of the features that makes this skinsuit ideal for the water is the Teflon-coated fabric which does not absorb water. When the triathlete makes the transition from swim to bike, the skin dries immediately. The chamois pad is designed specifically for the woman in the time trial position who must also swim and run. The padding is thin enough so it doesn’t rub while in the run, but thick enough to protect the woman who is leaned over the bike and on her time trial bars.
