Alden "University" 986A Loafer in color 8 shell cordovan, 10 E

This is a special variant of the Alden 986 loafer in color 8 shell cordovan in size 10 E, made exclusively for the Seattle store Brick + Mortar. I searched for these for the better part of a year and was lucky to find someone selling an NIB pair. Since purchasing I have worn them very sparingly (3x at most), as can be seen from my photos. Current retail price for this model is $950. I am only selling because I am awaiting a different pair of Alden loafers that I preordered, and I don't need both. I am a borderline D/E and after trying on different sizes of the LHS I found that the E width is slightly more comfortable for me. I have worn these with heel grips to snug them up at the back, but they are removable. This style is made on Alden's Van last, which tends to run large for most people (I am a 10.5 in most other dress shoes/boots, and 11 in most athletic shoes.) The main differences between the regular 986 and these are the antiqued welt and sole edge, and waterlock leather outsoles instead of the (slightly dressier) single oak leather soles. Box and shoe bags are included. Nonsmoking adult home. Always stored in the box with shoe trees (which are not included).
