Because I only want/need what's going to work for me and when I will use 80% of the shades. the bottom are matte and great for everyday or quick sultry, easy looks. The top row are all shimmers! NOT glitter. I say that bc as a 60 year old MUA I love sparkle but am a lot more judicious how I use it. I wore one of the shimmers during the day today and received sooooo many compliments.
