Airedale Painted Metal Door Stop Doorstop Rare Vintage Statue Sitting Terrier

Offering this charming weighted hollow figural dog doorstop sculpture appears to be an Airedale or other type of terrier. Painted metal gray metal dog weighted filled with some sort of sandy-sounding contents. Seemingly designed heavy enough to hold a door open and are often sought after for their decorative appeal. The Airedale Terrier is known for its distinctive wiry coat and elongated muzzle, which are features that are captured in the artsy sculpture. Condition as shown. There is some chippiness to the applied painted black coat that could be further refurbished as new buyer prefers. It has been my entry guardian for at least two decades not too sure of its exact age or maker. Thick fun foam glued on its base to be protective of my hardwood floors where it was sentry over the many years. There is one perforation hole on the side as shown. Perhaps this is likely where the dog was filled with its weighted contents and plugged. Other than the chippy applied painted finish, there are no cracks or notable damage to the sculptures surface noted. Quite heavy NO BUNDLING with this item —as with packing/boxing it’s just under 5# weight limit for shipping.
