Agate Ring--Artwork, really.

Size 6 ring by Gudrun Meyer, an artist working in Bochum, Germany. Agate crystal in in sterling silver band with 18K gold bezel. Gudrun’s distinctive maker’s mark is within. The diameter of the circular “face” of the ring is 13 mm, with the crystal itself occupying 10 mm. It is staged on a 7 mm high “cup” (see sideview in photo #5). The silver band of the ring is pleasingly curved (this is a comfortable ring to wear/fiddle with), and 4.5 mm in width. It has heft but is not heavy. Overall weight is 13.7 grams. The crystal is a sparkly white-white, flecked with a teensy constellation of irregular blue-blacks. You can’t find this now in the USA. Purchased for over $300 in 1999; original receipt and details from the gallery in Chicago, IL can be supplied. Returns not accepted, since I will have to psych myself up to post this off to you. The silver band shows wear appropriate to its age (see photos), but nothing that distracts from the ring’s overall gorgeous-ness. The stone is as new, drop-dead beautiful and it’s a beautiful object indeed—artwork, actually.
