These new African ceremonial crescent brushed gold earrings are a Museum Reproduction. These are pierced earrings with modern post in back. They are beautiful in shape with detailed beading reflecting the sophistication of the original artisan. They are 7/8" in diameter. 88skyway @belladonna888 Hi. I believe that they are electroplated gold but don't know what the metal base is. I have some other museum reproductions that have never faded or oxidized, so I know the quality is good. The post is stainless steel. I got them at the Harn Museum (Univ. of Fla.)
