Aerospike engine model, handmade, 1:10 scale

Highly detailed, realistic and rare model of the Rocketdyne Linear Aerospike Rocket Engine, one of the most innovative rocket engines ever designed. Originally intended for use on the Space Shuttle, then modified as the power plant for the Venture Star single stage to orbit vehicle, which never became operational. This 1:10 scale model is meticulously hand designed by a former rocket scientist, and assembled using 3-D printed components and plastic tubing with dimensions of 9” X 13.5” X 8.5” on a custom stand.
