No noticeable dirt or residue in the fur. There is some matting of the fur most noticeable on front left side: see the last picture for a close up - the spot looks a bit more frizzy than the other parts of the coat where fur is generally more defined and straight. Hardly noticeable, especially when worn, and is not visible if you wear the jacket open or partially unzipped! The overall quality is fantastic!
