behindthecloth @a12d34m5 No worries! Totally understand. It's always at least a little confusing when new stuff is added--i'm still getting used to it as well! So far, i know the dressing room is a useful way to see all in one place what you like (and bundle) from closet to closet...as well as the other way around: seeing what potential customers may be interested in buying at some point.

behindthecloth @a12d34m5 To request a styling is basically to ask for style advice from an individual's closet. It was supposedly added to make Poshmark more like a nice retail shopping experience, similar to asking a retail employee to help you spot out something that they think would look nice on you. One thing at a time can also be sent by the seller's initiative (without request) to a potential buyer, for the same reason of helping them find more of what they may like.

behindthecloth @a12d34m5 Poshmark made it so that the suggestion must be considered and either accepted or denied by the potential buyer before another one can be sent, to keep the dressing room from becoming a tool for spammers.

behindthecloth @a12d34m5 I assume styling requests work better for larger closets that are more difficult to browse. I've personally used it to send out an important announcement to people who were considering buying from me before i was out of vacation mode...that was a whole lot easier than tagging people like i would have tried previously! So it's proved some use so far!

a12d34m5 @behindthecloth Alissa, thank you for your help and suggestions. I apologize for the delayed response but my Poshing has been very intermittent, at best, lately. I have been recovering from extensive oral surgery in preparing for dental implants. It's been a rough couple of weeks, to say the least! BACK ON TOPIC...isn't it great how they have improved "The Dressing Room"? It was definitely lacking in functionality. Now it has purpose! I hope they add a private "note" later.

behindthecloth @a12d34m5 Hopefully they'll continue to polish it up--I'd love to see the ability to set preferences for how much buyer/seller interaction is appreciated, for one thing. Since there's a range between some loving the extra help and other's getting so annoyed they don't want to make the purchase anymore..Being able to find balance in that will be a little tricky, but i'm excited to play around with the new features!

a12d34m5 @behindthecloth I know exactly what you mean. Some prefer the detached, less personal communication. It seems to be the folks that only shop and never list, for the most part. That is fine. There are different levels of participation. I enjoy the interaction, myself. I know for some, this is a business and work it as such. For me, it's a pastime and a means of splurging... I typically spend what I make and it beats giving good items away in a garage sale.

behindthecloth @a12d34m5 Still, i understand the other side of it too--in physical retail stores, i used to feel uncomfortable when i felt like somebody was standing around watching me, even if i knew they were trying to help. Sometimes it's just nice to browse in peace and without pressure--i imagine this is how many Poshers feel. I feel there's just got to be a way to give amazing interaction and customer service while still being able to give space that some may need. I really want to figure this out!

a12d34m5 @behindthecloth Oops...I always do that! Anyway her note said "I'll never ask, Interested?" I appreciated her comment. I think most understand when you "like" something, there is interest. I guess that is where it seems most invasive and obnoxious. Likes shouldn't be responded to in that manner. And, the best way to thank someone is to share...just one gals opinion.

a12d34m5 @behindthecloth I think I have been in brick and mortar clothing stores 2 days this year. I shop here, TJMaxx and Neiman Marcus Last Call. Poshmark is the greatest! You find great things, meet great people and support small businesses, as well as individuals supplementing their income. Your business is so much appreciated.
