This vintage Abercrombie & Fitch Tahoe Blue Ski Triple Zigzag Patterned Lambwool Sweater was made for extremely cold weather. It's very thick. Thicker than usual thick sweaters. The ice tracks patterns let you know it's what was once called a ski sweater. I was excited when I saw it. The tag isn't sewn into the wool, meaning it was designed so that a tailor or seamstress could easily removed it without damaging the fabric and reattach elsewhere like in a side seam where it may would be more comfortable for some wearers. This simple act validated the garment's age. Rarely is this done today for the craft of tailors' or seamstresses' application to garments are rare. This is also an indication the garment was very expensive in its heyday.
