Photos show a 16 inch chain (one is with a different pendant), a good short length that isn't quite a choker on most women. Measure a necklace for reference. Ball link necklace is silver toned brass , approx 1.5mm thick. Long hair doesn't get caught in this type of chain and clasp. Pendant is a 1/2 inch vintage charm. It's probably abalone in resin.
