ASTOUNDING HIG FASHION 1940's SPOTTED FEATHER HAT WITH 2 "BIRDS"/TAILS

What an amazing, high fashion and unique hat!!! When you look at the hat, it appears it is made of fur, but it is made of unusual spotted feathers. The asymmetrical shape of this hat is covered in exotic feathers resembling 2 birds whose heads are made of brilliant green and red feathers plus a beak. The "tails" of the birds cascade downward, creating a most intriguing look. The cap is lined in black shiny fabric and is held together by narrow strips of brilliant green fabric. There are hair combs attached to the inside as well as an elastic band to help keep the hat in place. I tried to find out what feathers these could be, but did not find an exact match online. Label: An Original VOGUE Hat by GARFUNKEL "Vogue Hats Garfunkel Makers" was a prominent millinery brand or studio in the 1940s, known for creating fashionable hats, listed alongside other top designers like Hattie Carnegie and John Frederics in the Fashion Calendar. They were part of the Millinery Creators' Guild, showcasing important collections in New York City during that era, focusing on high-style and popular-priced millinery.
