The Doulton and Co began operations about the year 1815 near London, England later to move to a large factory at Burslem, Stoke -on-Trent about 1882. At this time in history the pottery began producing flow blue porcelain which took the market by storm. One such popular pattern produced during the years 1890–1910 was call “Watteau”, an attractive scenic transfer with romantic figures gathered in natural settings. Several companies at this time produced the same named pattern but with different scenes.
There are two different romantic scenes with courting couples with musical instruments.
Nice blue and white decor piece for the antique kitchen or vase for dried flowers.The handle and rim are also decorated with blue accents.
