Before stainless steel, thimbles were made from precious metals like silver and gold. These charming little silver thimbles have been in my family for over 100 years. It is not the kind of thing I collect, so I am offering them to someone else who will treasure them. They are marked ‘Sterling’ - size 8 thimbles are 16mm wide at the base and size 11 thimbles are 18mm wide at the base. Both are about 3/4 of an inch tall and are in excellent, unpolished condition.
